The Low Road: Obama On McCain’s Politics
Obama fired off the closest he’s come to a flat-out attack ad today. Levelled at McCain, it packs in a bit of positivity at the end.
Tragically, it’s true. A piece from the Washington Independent is a good account of my feelings on the McCain candidacy, “Maverick McCain Turns Mean“.
Worse yet, as Obama’s ad points out, you can put “Mendacious” and “Moronic” up there too.

The CW believes that all you need to hear is an endless loop of Old Tin Head and Cindy McCain pledging to run a fair campaign “because that is what the American people want and deserve.” Well, what I want and deserve is not you. And I keep hoping that the rest of Ameica will see this charade for what it is as well. McCain is no longer a maverick; he’s not even different or interesting; he is the ultimate Grumpy Old Man, mean-spirited and nasty. I wonder if he gets up in the morning wondering how he got to this political place in his life…..or perhaps he was there all the time?
