Most Important Story of the Day - Hillary Is Push Polling
Would it make you slightly less likely, less likely or more likely to know that Hillary has used the most conniving, dark-hearted trick in modern politics to spread lies about Obama?
That’s what a push poll sounds like. And that’s just what she’s doing - using a push poll to mangle North Carolina’s understanding of Obama’s record.
The sick thing, people, is that these things work unless people know they’re poison, not truth. So spread the word about this one. E-mail, blog, make calls - do all you can to clue people on to what she’s doing. And visit the site that discovered it, so that you have the proper sense of outrage when you tell your friends.
Update: She’s done it before, in California, and was caught too late. The biggest asset of push-polling is that it’s under the radar, so be sure to tell everyone you can this is going on.

I wasn’t sure what a push poll was when I read this story this morning. So I made a little post (linked above) to define it for myself and others who might not be so politically aware.
Here are some of the keywords in the definition:
* Guise - cloak, cover, disguise, false colors, front, mask, masquerade, pretense, pretext, semblance, veil, veneer
* Propaganda - misinformation, distortion, lies, rabble rousing, fear-mongering, demagoguery
* Rumor mongering - Gossiping, scuttlebutt, innuendo, misinforming, calling fire in a crowded theater, crying wolf
* Masquerading - a false outward show, false appearance, pretend to be someone or something that you are not
* Innuendo - insinuation, implication, incrimination
* Negative campaigning - Bush, Rove, Clinton
* Condemned - wrong, guilty, worthless, unacceptable
* Illegal - against the law, prohibited, criminal

Push me, poll you — wasn’t that a silly two-headed creature from the horrible movie, Dr. Doolittle? Desparate is as desparate does! In any case, I am more than likely, incredibly likely and absolutely likely to laugh my head off at that picture! Could it be captioned — Oops, I forgot my flag pin? Because if it’s not pinned to her underwear, she’s not wearing one! Or perhaps that’s the cause of the pained expression!
Greetings from The Cranky Woman!
