Matthew Funk is the author of eight novels, two screenplays and two three-act plays. He has written nearly a hundred articles of non-fiction. He is a scholar of contemporary defense issues and of WWII, particularly the battles of Russia. He is a high-level professional editor gainfully employed by corporate America in Southern California. 

Matthew Funk is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Masters of Professional Writing MFA Program, where he studied with Hubert Selby, Sid Stebel, David Scott Milton and Jim Ragan, among others. 

He has been a managing editor on two literary magazines – “Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables” at Kenyon College and “Phylegeas” at USC. 

He holds a BA in Political Science from USC and has written articles for the Army War College.  His commentary on current events can be found on his blog, Driving Too Fast Down The Middle Of The Road.
